Did you Know?

That there are 2,339,986 vehicles registered in Nebraska.

An owner of a vehicle which has previously been issued a Certificate of Title as an assembled vehicle in this state may have the vehicle inspected by a Qualified Car Club Representative who shall determine whether or not any modifications or replacement parts are essentially the same in design and material to that originally supplied by the manufacturer for the specific year, make and model of vehicle.

If the vehicle passes this inspection, the owner may apply to the Department to obtain a Certificate of Title indicating the year, make, and model of the vehicle by presenting the statement, an Application for Reissuance of Certificate of Title * and a $25.00 fee.

Upon receipt of the new Certificate of Title, the vehicle owner shall appear before their County Treasurer for issuance or reissuance of their certificate of registration or apply for a set of historical license plates from the Department.

For information about historical plates please refer to Historical License Plates .
